Stop Greenwashing

As Earth Day (April 22) comes near, let’s be on the lookout for companies who take advantage and throw around words like

“eco-friendly” & “sustainable” to promote their brand but lacks real effort in actually protecting the environment.

Before you fall in their trap and click check-out, here are a few questions you can ask yourself to assess if these brands are really all-in for Mama Earth:

🌱 Does the brand/company, regardless of Earth Day or not, makes effort for a greener and healthier planet? Do they walk the talk?

🌱 Does the brand/company speak about protecting our environment all year round or just this particular time?

🌱 Does the brand/company take part in the occasion to genuinely celebrate Earth Day or are they taking advantage just to make noise for their name?

🌱 Does the brand/company care more about making sales and product promotions rather than highlighting the main cause of the event?

🌱 Does the brand/company posts proof to back up their claims or said efforts?

If all answers lean to the better choice, then it’s all good. If not, I hope we have the courage to call them out and support brands that carry out real change for the good of the planet.

Let’s research and ask questions before putting our money in their pockets.

Small and intentional efforts are better than none at all. 🌎💚
